Read all about it ... Project One's victory
23 January 2012
Manchester Town Hall hosted a fantastic evening for Project One's 2012 Kick-Off where the team were thoroughly entertained by a mock courtroom drama which unravelled Project One's success in 2011 and plans for the exciting times ahead.
The performance began from the minute people walked through the door, creating an energised, ‘highly charged' atmosphere that continued throughout the evening. The consensus is that it was a fresh and innovative way to get the key messages across.
"Well, what can I say? I don't know how you manage to keep coming up with something fresh, different, enjoyable and entertaining - whilst landing some important messages at the same time. Congratulations on a great job superbly done." Mark Jackson

The main objective of this year's Kick-Off was to provide an informative and fun filled evening for the whole team. Working alongside our event management partner, Team Spirit, we created the theme of a mock court trial where our competitors brought allegations against Project One, misleading their customers and their people.
The outcome was a not guilty verdict on all charges. The defence proved that Project One have:
- their clients at the forefront of their mind
- achieved tremendous growth but controlled with the Project One team's best interests in mind
- always achieved their set standards for delivery excellence and will continue to do so
- maintained all company values and will do so in the future
The case for the defence included testimonials to Project One's delivery excellence from three clients. Two clients testified via video link and just as the trial was concluding we were interupted by a suprise witness, Mr Tony Conway, Strategic Asset Planning & Engineering Director, United Utilities, who took the witness stand in person to defend Project One. This was a real highlight of the evening and huge thanks go to them all for their contribution.
"Just wanted to record my thanks, you did a really great job on the Kick-Off. Just the right mix of entertainment and serious content and a thoroughly enjoyable evening. It was a privilege to be there!" Ian Nugent
The judge, played by Dave Bywater of Team Spirit, summed up Project One in his closing statement: "Project One clearly runs a very successful company built on hard work, high standards and excellent management. Consequently it has grown rapidly over the last few years. Rather than a ‘global conspiracy to dominate the business world' they are simply highly experienced change management professionals whose integrity and engagement style is obviously highly valued by their clients."

The evening concluded with a dinner and a chance to catch up with colleagues from across the regions. From the feedback received from the Project One team the Kick-Off proved to be a great success.
