Our past

Having worked in senior roles within large organisations, we developed a clear vision for an innovative company that would be very special - regional teams of exceptionally experienced consultants, reward based on performance and with flexible benefits, attracting people who are passionate about their work and client results.

With this vision, Project One was established in 1998 to become a national company working in regional teams. Since then, we have developed strong relationships with many of the UK's largest organisations and are respected as their preferred change partner. Our success has led to year on year growth and we have delivered over 2000 assignments, where every client is a reference client.

Our present

Now with a team of over 75 in a fully employed model, our consultants work in regions across the UK. This keeps us close to our clients and close to our homes, supporting our principle of work/life balance. Our regions are empowered and collaborative, each with a small management team who know their consultants and know their clients.

As we grow, we are particularly careful to recruit high calibre consultants with solid experience and the right attitude … people who our clients can trust to face their most critical business challenges.

Our Shared Services Team provides services across the company – HR, finance, IT, knowledge management and general support to ensure our team is set up for success.

We meet up regularly in our regions, and periodically as a company, to stay in touch, share news and celebrate achievements.

Our programme of investment to develop and grow Project One will continue, for example:

  • attracting and recruiting high performing people with a proven, relevant track record and the right attitude and commitment
  • providing development opportuntities for personal growth
  • investing 2-3% of annual revenue in knowledge management to leverage our collective experience  
  • broadening awareness and understanding of Project One in our chosen markets
  • building a client base that ensures a resilient, sustainable business
  • developing our company infrastructure so that our team is as effective and efficient as possible
