Acting as a change partner 

Our client's strategy was to completely modernise their business, so that they could retain and grow market share, and significantly reduce operating costs. A senior business figure was appointed to develop the vision and drive through a fundamental business change that would be the biggest the company had ever undertaken.

As the change partner for the transformation, Project One worked with the business Programme Director to shape and mobilise the programme, provide the foundations for driving the programme and lead selected workstreams.

Our impact:

  • Worked with the business Programme Director to give real clarity to the business challenge and create a programme that was understood and viable
  • Through design workshops, shaped the Target Operating Model including design principles, customer experience and employee experience, as well as the high level design for process, technology and people dimensions
  • Created a 'light touch' Programme Management Office and coached client team members, ultimately handing over responsibility to them
  • Led and delivered a number of key initiatives including a major technology refresh and a major property disposal 
  • Established a very successful cross-business implementation management group to define clear releases of change and led the business in planning and preparing to realise the benefits
  • Built confidence at Executive and Board level that the programme would deliver, through strong leadership and clear communication
