This regulated business is required to submit a new business plan every 5 years, detailing all aspects of their operations and investment plans, defining service benefits that will be derived and the impact on customer bills. A massively complex piece of work.

With a new client Programme Director and a Project One Programme Manager appointed, our job was to get the programme running and produce a submission of which they would be proud.

Our impact:

  • Brought insight into managing regulatory driven programmes based on previous experience
  • Created a strong sense of content and plan ownership amongst the whole executive team
  • Introduced programme management and programme office disciplines; status dashboard, steering group, clear accountabilities
  • Implemented a checkpoint mechanism that created a sense of purpose and momentum around delivery and quality milestones
  • Mobilised and led a team to co-ordinate 4000 pages of material into a professional submission
  • Developed visual presentations to bring clarity, get engagement and drive discussion, both within the team and to the Executive team
